Scheme of Examinations

Class: Nursery to First

In nursery and prep classes we emphasise on play-way and activity based teaching. Children are assessed on the basis of daily class performance and worksheets to be solved after a topic is over. Children are not graded at this stage. Report cards are given to the parents every month for Nursery and K.G. Classes. Teacher remains in regular contact with the parent to discuss the child's performance.

Children are assessed on the basis of following:

1. English Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening Skills.
2. Mathematics Counting, Number Value, Work Presentation & Activity.
3. Environmental Science General awareness, Activity Independence from adults, Confidence, Care of belongings, Neatness, Sharing & Caring, Initiative, Self-control.
4. Curriculum Interests Drawing & Colouring, Tearing & Pasting, Singing, Dancing, Rhymes and Stories, Games.

The students are evaluated for the above skills on the basis of following grade point scale:

Class: II to VIII

In our school assessments are done for learning and learning is not done for assessments. Students are assessed in scholastic and co -scholastic areas throughout the year. The progress of the student is judged through continuous academic performance during the year and comprehensive evaluation. The CCE is integrated well with the system of evaluation. Assessment is done in scholastic and co-scholastic areas over the year.

Scholastic Evaluation

Grade of formative assessments over the two terms (F1+F2+F3+F4) is given and the grade of summative Assessment (S1+S2) is given based on 9 point grading scale.

Consist of literary and creative skills, scientific skills, information and communication technology, organizational and leadership skills wherein a student is assessed for any two skills based on 5 point grading scale once a year.

6. Health and Physical Education--

  • Class VI students will be assessed for FIRST AID and SPORTS.
  • Class VII students will be assessed for GARDENING and SPORTS.
  • Class VIII students will be assessed for YOGA and SPORTS.

Class: IX & X

The progress of the student is judged through continuous and comprehensive evaluation.

I- Scholastic Areas-

[D]- Attitudes & Values-- Attitude towards teachers, schoolmates, school programmes & environment, value system are assessed once a year based on 5 point grading scale.

IIIA- Co-Scholastic Activities-

Consist of literary and creative skills, information and communication technology (ICT) where in a student is assessed once a year based on 5 point grading scale.

IIIB- Health and Physical Activities-

Student is assessed for sports and Yoga once a year based on 5 point grading scale.
